They'll arrive day after I place the order so it can be any day pretty much. I could get a case this week and another in two weeks, or something along those lines...
I can pass on mine. Don't want it to be consuming someone's freezer space unless someone has a lot of room to spare.

Ladies,

Been a slight change in these. Mah man asked the Sysco rep for current pricing and instead of a call back, a box of brisket arrived.

- They are fresh, not frozen
- $3/lb
- Average 12 lbs each ($36)

These cases have 4 per, so I have 4 on hand now.

Who from the list in the op wants 'em? I don't think I want to do one this weekend so they're all up for grabs.

I'll order more in over the next week or two so everyone gets theirs

They're fresh so yeah, they need to go. That said, you could likely age them fro at least a week, maybe two before cooking.

Who wants 'em?

It'll be tomorrow at H&T. Not sure of exact time yet though, noonish or after perhaps?

Greg, will you have more briskets available when I'm down next week for Jeff and I? If not, no worries at all.....I just wasn't sure what the latest scoop was is all.

Jason - Eagleray dropped off a sample on Sunday. It is fantastic.

I will make sure I can make this pickup.

Okay so here's the dealio.....

These fresh briskets we got in were 'flats' only, with the 'point' removed. I prefer full packer briskets and talked to the sales rep myself today. The last time I bought them was spring of 2011 when they were $2.29/lb. Current price is....... $3.30/lb! Only up ~ 30% in two years! Gawd.

Anyhow, they're frozen as originally posted. I ordered a case which they said would be 5 pieces and will be in hand tomorrow, Tuesday.

So it's going to be...
Canuck x 1
JeffSmith x 1
Xman x 1
Sandy x 1
HPsauce x 1

That'll wrap it up for this weeks brisket buy. I can order in another case next week! :cheers2:

Thank you good sir! If you or anyone else happen to be heading up this way before Shane is down next week I don't mind meeting somewhere to get it out of your way earlier.

Very good. I may bring it down on Saturday, just in time for a little weekend Q! I'll let you know for sure closer to the end of the week for sure. BTW, if you want it thawed for then I could just refrigerate it til then :cheers2:

I likely won't get a chance for it until the following weekend but if you're running short on freezer room I'll definitely make it work.
