Hello from Dieppe NB
I've been brewing for a year now, went from a Mr beer kit to the following:
All grain setup using a converted 50qt cooler mash tun with copper manifold and a 50qt aluminum brewpot on a propane burner.
3 keg kegerator setup for serving. Currently trying to convert my friends to craft beer drinkers. It's nice to see other people are
as obsessed as I am about the craft.

Re: Hello from Dieppe NB

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

My in-laws are in Dieppe & I'm there fairly regularly. Have to let you and other Moncton brewers know when I'm gonna bee in town (and more importantly) when I have time to meet up for a beer.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Re: Hello from Dieppe NB
Bienvenue Stephane, je reste à Dieppe aussi.
Perfect time to join the message board as we're forming a Home Brewing Club in Moncton. Check out "Brasseurs de Moncton Homebrewers" subforum under events here.
Private message me your email address if you want me to add you to an email distribution list for the club too. We're planning on having our first get together soon at the Laudromat (I had suggested Thursday, April 25th but that date doesn't seem to work out great so possibly the next day - check out the forum for updates).

Re: Hello from Dieppe NB

Nice to see another brewer in the area! I'm envious of the kegging though, they are a thorn in my side for acquiring. And no, you're not alone for craft beer. I've been converting my friends like it's a new religion for a long while now. New to brewing myself.
If you haven't yet, head over to the Moncton discussion. We're trying to get everyone together for either a brew day or some beers.
