Who Needs Smoking Wood? [Cherry]

Post by NASH » Thu Apr 19, 2012 8:53 pm

I have a few spare bags of chunked up cherry wood from a furniture maker, no bark, mostly decent sized smoking chunks with some larger and some smaller pieces mixed in. The larger pieces will split real easy with a hammer or hatchet.

I grabbed a few extra bags (look like large onion bags) for some of you so post up if you want some :cheers2:

I could use some as I'm putting together the temp controller for my smoker this weekend.

I wouldn't mind a few chunks to try out cherry wood. Save me a few for the Spring Lagerfest?

Are these worth the $$? Do they make it any easier to maintain a low & slow?

Thanks for the wood, Nash. Did some drumsticks last night with it, and tried to double-dip some cheese at the end, but I lost track of time and managed to half-melt it. Will still be good for eating, I think, just not for gifting.
