However, if we go tomorrow night they'll have more of a chance to restock overnight, so we can get more than if we got it in the morning.

To make this work, we're going to need a few volunteers. I have a 12 gallon cooler, and I can store ice in my chest freezer as well to haul over the next day. However, picking up ice from a bar downtown on a Friday night is going to mean extra hands, since I'm not looking for parking, then hauling ice back to my car several blocks away. I can drive, and Rob is going to come with me, but I'll need another person to help out. Also, if anyone on the peninsula has a large freezer and can store some plastic bags full of ice, that would be great too. Failing that, some extra coolers.

Edit - I'm heading there for 9:00.
I can tag along with you guys if you need the help/have the space.

Thanks, that would probably be easiest where we're all coming from the same place. Do you have a cooler you can bring along?

Yup, probably 2 (assuming I can find the drain parts to turn my mash tun back into a real cooler).

Great. Maybe we should take my Jeep, easier to keep the coolers in the back.

I hope we can keep the ice frozen until tomorrow. Should we have a backup plan?

I can probably fit a garbage bag of it in my freezer overnight. Anything left in a cooler will probably melt some, based on camping trip memories, but shouldn't be too bad.

For delivery the next day, what are everyone's thoughts? It would be nice if there was some ice at Kyle's for when the first people arrive, but I don't want to drop it all off and have it start melting when it could be in my freezer until we get there in the afternoon. I'm assuming that most kegs will be somewhat cold when people bring them. Maybe it's best to drop off a cooler or two at Kyle's tonight after pickup. If you're out Kyle, we could just leave it in the backyard if that's fine.

My freezers are extremely full. It's cold enough at night that they should be pretty good.

Anyone able to grab my keg (and me) for transport to Kyle's on Saturday? I'm on Agricola near North (both street and brewery).

FYI on the ACBB,
• And for those who are looking for a fun group of homebrewers to hang with, the Brewnosers Hoptoberfest event is being held Saturday afternoon and evening. Check the thread on the forum for details, and though it is a private event, anyone looking to chat, snack, and taste and enjoy great beer, of course, is welcome! There will be at least 20 different homebrew kegs of all types, and hop-infused sausages, especially made for the crew by Cavicchi’s Meats.

Picked up the sausages this morning.

They. Smell. Awesome!

$4 each, all profits going to the Brewnosers club. I will have a small float to make change, but please bring small bills or coins if you can.

I currently have chalmers and GAM first in line for extras, which will be $2 each or $10 per 1/2 dozen. Edit: And LeafMan.

Was just going to get back to you Sandy. I am home (getting a brew started this morning for the Big Spruce comp).

Will I need to bring my 5 lb CO2 tank or is there still room on someone else's set up?

Cheers,
Peter
