30 Gallon Brew Pots
Greetings Brewnosers,
I am new to the forums and I would like to say that it's great to see so much info being shared amongst fellow Atlantic brewers. Right on!
I am in the initial design stage of a DIY electric brewery based on the Breweasy concept from Blichmann. I am trying to find reasonably priced 30 gallon 304 stainless kettle & mash tun. I would love to buy the Breweasy rig but it's beyond my budget so I'm contemplating building the brewery from Bayou Classics pots, but have not found any canadian suppliers, so I would get dinged with the customs, shipping and US dollar.
Any suggestions on how to obtain resonably priced 2 X 30 gallon ss pots would be great.
Cheers,

http://www.canadiantreasureseekers.com/ ... list&c=287" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (I bought a Bayou Classic pot from these people too, was cheapest at the time and also free shipping!)

Cheers and Welcome to Brewnosers.

Re: 30 Gallon Brew Pots
Thanks to all for the inputs; I have communicated with Dave but I'm reluctant to go with 201 Stainless Steel pots ( which may not be as corrosion resistant as the 304
series) which is what he has on offer (at great price). I'd like to have this brewery set up for the next 20 years, so I'm carefully thinking about my options. I understand that you can't go wrong with Blichmann and may elect to go that route, so it really comes down to balancing longevity versus upfront pain...!

Re: 30 Gallon Brew Pots
Thanks again to everyone for the inputs,
I finally decided for 2X 30 gallon Bichmann. They are on order and I should be receiving them shortly. Next is the brew controller design which I will be basing on Kal's from the electric brewery. I just need a little bit of spare time, which is not that easy to get with my 1 1/2 year old...
Back to the brew pots, if someone has a decent punch/step drill bit suggestion: I' m all ears!
Salut,
Chockpish

Re: 30 Gallon Brew Pots
you'll need to start a DIY Thread for this setup. I'm interested to see how it turns out.

Welcome, Chockpish. I'll be following your build for sure. I DIY'd my electric rig and have been thinking about going to a two vessel system, maybe with RIMS. However, whenever I price it out I get scared off!
