Everwood Ave Brew Shop Goes to China!

Post by GillettBreweryCnslt » Wed Aug 28, 2013 3:00 pm

Hey Everyone,

Just a heads up that the Store will be shut down from Sept 1-7th. I'm going to China for business and I'm going to get to meet some of the companies I'm working with to discuss new and custom products and well as hopefully tour the factories. To be honest it's not the primary purpose of my trip however I could not turn down the opportunity to visit the people I'm working with when I'll be based 30 km away from their offices.

The online store will be open through the week, however all orders placed from Sept 1st onward will be shipped on Sept 9th. We are open tonight for regular hours and Saturday from 1-4 pm if you want to pickup an order or have an order shipped this week.

Thanks!

What sort of brewing gear are you looking at?

I want to talk conicals, pots, fittings, and other stainless things.

I also want to discuss shipping, logistics, financing and "Hey, I'm in China!"

Hey Guys,

I've returned from the far east and things went well. I had a full day of discussions with my distributor in Shanghai and we talked about everything from quality to those insulated mash tuns. I also found out I can get insulated conicals from the same company but they are pricey. I'll be having a few sales upcoming so I can make room for the next order (which will be in for Christmas). Hopefully it will include those mash tuns as some custom stuff specifically from my shop. Except for the 26 hours of travel to get then and back it was a great trip. Here is a pic of my and my sales rep at Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai.

I had the typical experience where several ppl stopped me to take my picture. It happened all over the place. Perhaps they thought we were a visiting professional basketball team.
