Entering US Competitions

Post by RubberToe » Thu Nov 01, 2012 10:58 pm

Hey everyone,

Has anyone here sent beer to the states for competition? I am seriously considering entering CASK - Virginia Beer Blitz. Bottles are due by Nov 21 so I was thinking of sending some tomorrow or the weekend via FedEX. Is is worth the cost of shipping and the hassle? What about brokerage fees? I have 2 bottles each of 4 brews ready to go. I'm horny for some hardware! :rockin:

Here's the short answer: it will be expensive, expect $30 for 8 bottles via Fedex. If you decide to go that route, I strongly suggest filling out all of the paperwork beforehand and just dropping the sealed box at a Fedex/Kinko's depot. You are shipping collectible glassware.
