Pint glasses?

Post by Dan » Wed Apr 03, 2013 7:42 pm

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if anybody knows where I could pick up some British pint glasses? I'm looking for something similar to this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/318uRcjAvnL.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I heard kegworks.com has decent stuff but they charge an arm and a leg for shipping apparently. Anybody know of a place where I could grab some of these locally in HRM?

Thanks,
Dan

I'm pretty sure walmart has them too, and probably at a cheaper price.

I picked some up in a dollar store before, you may want to check there.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I've actually seen them at the dollar store, just last week in fact (although this was in Charlottetown).

I have two of the craft beer glass sets here: http://flyers.smartcanucks.ca/canada/ca ... 1/single/8 (dead centre of page)

on sale at CT for $12.49 starting tomorrow... you'll one English pint glass in each set, but a lot of other glasses too, the wheat glass is pretty sweet
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

It's almost the time of year when students move out, and they steal lots of them from pubs. Give it a month and keep your eye on the boxes on the curb or in thrift stores.

They're $1.25 each at the dollar store, however they're made of poor glass. I broke and replaced so many that I decided enough was enough and paid for better ones. A couple fell, but most broke from stacking them since they can't handle the weight of 3 or 4 glasses. Two or three broke from a cheers--which sucked since I lost almost as much beer as the glass was worth!

Got one of these sets as a gift and have been trying to find a reasonably priced one to match it for a few months now. Picked up two of these today, thanks for the heads up on the sale!
