I've been a HUGE fan of Dizzy Pigs Raging River rub for my chicken and smoked salmon. I wanted to try some of their other rubs but didn't want to spend $13 each on various rubs that I might not like, so I ended up getting a sampler pack of all of their rubs. Has anyone tried their rubs before? Anyways, post up some of your favourite rubs, whether they are purchased or homemade.

I got them from Bangor. But you guys are lucky as the only place in the Maritimes that carries them is in Dartmouth. According to Dizzy Pig's website, this place in Dartmouth carries them.

Anyone hear if Costco is getting the same charcoal in again this year? The Kamado is back in.

Yup, $599. Saw a couple at the Moncton CostCo last weekend.

I try to make most rubs at home since I'm cheap and often their main ingredients are salt (which I can't buy myself) and sugar ( again I jus waddle my lazy ass to bulk barn)
And the Costco knock off eggs ranged in price through out the summer I think. Also BGE are now available at home hardware too.

This happened a year or two ago, and BGE insists they're not authorized dealers and, more importantly, the units aren't warranted.
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale

Those were the units that CostCo was selling back then wasn't it? Or did the same thing happen to HH as well?

At one point last year they had actual eggs. BGE said that they wouldn't honour warranties on them since they weren't an authorized dealer.

No, CostCo was selling real eggs somehow acquired outside normal dealer channels. They're why BGE made the big deal about not warranting unauthorized sales. I'd love to see what happened if someone actually tried to make a warranty claim - a smart manufacturer would still honor the warranty, because they can't afford the bad press they'd get if they didn't.
