Is it safe?

Post by Jimmy » Tue Jan 22, 2013 7:54 pm

So I put a raw beef roast in the slow cooker this morning, but the cord managed to get unplugged before I left. When I got home at 4:00 is when I noticed. I turned it on and it's currently cooking...is it safe to eat? :? :x

I'd chuck it out to be safe. It's also a good excuse to get take-out!

Had last nights leftovers when I got home, so I'm not going to wither away. I was just hoping to have some lunch for tomorrow :(

There's formulas for meat above 40f and under 140f for safe time. Does cooking the meat (if it's infected) to 212 kill anything bad anyway? Probably I guess, but I'd not try it.

Robie food is gone. Closed around Christmas I think.

It had gone under new management (read owner) and went down hill quick.
