15 Gallon Stainless Pots 2 couplers 119
Have you been on the prowl for a Sanke keg to cut up? Avoid paying upwards of 100 dollars for a used keg just to cut it up and pay someone to weld expensive parts in. Here is a cost effective alternative that looks better then a cut up keg:
Stainless steel 18 Gauge pot. Capacity of 15 gallon (56.7 Liters). Two vertical 1/2 female couplings welded in. These pots are ready to attach any accessories with 1/2 fittings you can dream of:
-Thermometers
-Bazooka screens
-Ball valves
Pot measures 16" across and18" tall
weighs just over 12 lbs
ID is 15.625 across x 17.875" tall

That's a great price. Do you a rough estimate of shipping to Amherst, NS?

Re: 15 Gallon Stainless Pots 2 couplers 119
I looked it up.The exact price to your door would be 4.50 more over the flat rate shipping.
Shipping is going to be a case by case scenario on these. They do not qualify for flat rate because they are obviously big and not much mark up. If the order had a bunch of smalls I would obviously eat the shipping, stuff the pot with the smalls and send it for the flat rate. I like to consider myself fairly easy with common sense to deal with.
Once we have sent these from coast to coast a few times I will be able to figure out how to have the website calculate costs.

Been looking at shipping again this morning. We can likely send these to most of the Atlantic destinations for the flat rate shipping.
If a larger item was in the same order (say a co2 tank that could not be safely packed in a pot) we would have to look at shipping prices on the order. These pots are new to us and in all honesty we are winging it on how to ship without losing our shirts. Sorry for any inconvience.

Let us know how you like the brew pot Jeff and its performance over the keggle. I have a 50L keggle but am getting tired of the near boilovers..could use the extra room... very tempting.

The only thing I'll have to compare it to is my current 12 gallon aluminum pot, and I'm sure it'll blow that out of the water.erslar00 wrote:Let us know how you like the brew pot Jeff and its performance over the keggle. Jeff, I'm actually picking up the 9 gal pot that Patrick sent me right after supper. I'll let you know my thoughts on it.jeffsmith wrote:The only thing I'll have to compare it to is my current 12 gallon aluminum pot, and I'm sure it'll blow that out of the water.erslar00 wrote:Let us know how you like the brew pot Jeff and its performance over the keggle. Re: 15 Gallon Stainless Pots 2 couplers 119
I got my 9 gal stainless steel pot from Patrick tonight. He sent it on Tuesday and it arrived today......along with an OBK t-shirt.
The pot is damn nice. It's got some great weight to it and the construction looks pretty damn good to me. It's not as heavy as my 8 gal stainless steel pot, but I also paid $250 for my 8 gal as well. These are seriously sweet pots for the price. I can't imagine being able to pick up a crappy quality aluminum pot for the price that Patrick is letting these SS pots go for. Plus they already have the female couplings welded in. Thanks Patrick, once again your service rocks!

Re: 15 Gallon Stainless Pots 2 couplers 119
Not a bad looking pot at all. How heavy are the bottoms? And can they be ordered customized? For instance, I'd prefer the higher nipple way up at the top as a recirc line, and a 1/4" nipple in it's place. And maybe a 1/2 coupling at the bottom.....
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

We have added a round of stainless goodies to support the home brewers hardware. Far from a complete list, but working on getting all the basics in it.

We do appreciate the product requests and we do listen to them. It just takes us time to source and we need to work slowly to keep prices competitive with our USA competition.

Guys
I'm looking at getting the following:
Silicon O-Ring
Stainless Steel Close nipple
Bazooka Screen
Stainless Steel Weldless Bulkhead
$44.80
As far as I see this is what I need to fit out my Keg/pot.
Please let me know if I've missed something. If anyone wants to split shipping let me know.

Could you add 2 silicone washers too. At .50 cents or whatever it doesn't hurt to have some extras around.
