Where to buy Mortar & Pestle

Post by NASH » Fri May 18, 2012 9:39 pm

Anyone seen any extra large granite mortar and pestle sets for sale anywhere locally?

I'm looking for something that will hold maybe as much as a litre or so.

Thanks ladies :spilly:

Not that I've seen one, but Stokes often carries large ones as do Paderno stores (not sure if there's a Paderno store in HRM).

I picked up a cast iron m&p at Winners a few years ago. It's at least one litre. I think they still move various types.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

There is a Paderno over behind MickyD's in Bayers Lake. At least there was last October.

Yup I've been to the Paderno store a few times but didn't notice any large ones. I'll check those places out though. Watching all these Mexican cooking vids means I gots to have me one giant mortar guac and salsa et al!

Thanks for the tips :cheers2:

I know this is an old topic... but thought I'd reply none the less in the event that you were still looking.

I got my M&P from the kitchen shop by petes on dresden (cucina moderna).

Give them a go.
