Let's take an informal tally here for wanting kegs. I will be going through Moncton in a couple of weeks and could bring them back to the HRM. I know there is another ISO:Kegs thread on the go, as well as speaking with guys IRL, so there is definitely interest. I won't be taking any for myself, so maybe someone could contact the seller and get his best offer. I'd say tell him we'd like 20 @ $30 apiece, and see if he bites?

I'd reply and ask how many you'd have to buy to get them down to $20 each ;) just sayin. I know of another homebrew group that buy them off one of these guys(could be someone totally different)...but i know they get em for less than $30. But when you reply, i would ask if he can get more, if he's willing to sell in bulk, and explain that there could be more sales later down the road as you're part of a group/club. He may be willing to deal...never know

If you're interested, I'd trade you my last pin lock for one of your ball lock kegs. If you have fittings for it I'll trade the pin lock ones I have as well. I have one last pin lock that I'd like to swap out for a ball lock.

Sure John, although I don't currently have any ball lock connects. I'll have to get them for the one I have.
If you want your pin lock connects to go i can take them.
If this group buy happens, you have one of my ball locks kegs in trade for a pin. Done.

I'd take 5 at $20. :mebeer:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Anyone offering to contact these guy(s) to see who will give us the best deal on 30 kegs? I'm going to be out of range most of next week, so I hope it'll be someone else. But as I said, I could pick up a good deal of them on the 27th. If someone in the area was able to be the middleman if that doesn't work for the seller, that would be most helpful!

I got no problem contacting and asking, just as long as no one else has yet......kind of annoying if 3 or 4 ppl sent emails already. So let me know.

Chris, how many can you fit in your vehicle?

I think my record is 47, but this trip I will be coming back from the SAQ with 40+ cases of beer. So I can reasonably handle 20, maybe. But perhaps someone near the seller can hold onto them till I roll through again at the beginning of Aug.
