Nova Scotia Haggis

I'm looking to order a couple of haggis for a Robbie Burns supper this month. Do you know any farmers (or sausage makers) near the city that do this? We can get some plastic-wrapped at Pete's, but it would be neat to have a more authentic one.

We'll also be buying several bottles of whisky for the event. I'm planning to go for some of the good value small-name bottles like Te Bheag, Ileach, and Oak Cross. Does anyone have a favourite affordable bottle? Does anybody know which of the bottom shelf is least offensive?

We usually do a couple each year - one veggie wrapped in rice paper and one "original" in a sheep ponch.

I know that Tony's meats in Antigonish does a haggis, and Oulton's Meats in Falmouth might also be another good place to check.

The problem is getting the ponch, the meat inspectors won't let the abattoirs sell them individually any more. This year a few of us are going in on a whole lamb from Northumberlamb here in Truro, and they will throw in the ponch, liver kidneys and heart.
