It's not all for my czech lager...some for my alt as well

Thanks in advance
Pffft. I'm not charging you for 2 pounds of grain. And I can definitely spare it.

Unless you're planning to brew this weekend, you can take your chances that I'll make it out Tuesday night (I fully intend to, but I've said that before several other meetings I have not attended) or make arrangements to pick it up. I'm in the Rockingham area of Halifax between Dunbrack and the Bedford Highway. I'll be home most of the weekend, you can PM me for the exact address.

Made my advent beer last night Schwarzbier. Got into the habit of brewing in the evening so I didn't finish up until about 12:30 last night. Stumble into bed around 1 or so. Then my wife says, "you stink like brewing!"

So I say "is it the maltiness of Munich or the spicy noble hops?"

She says "go shower, I can't sleep with that smell"

Finally got a brew day in, first one since early July. Did a Moose Drool clone with Pacific Ale Yeast (WLP-041) in place of the called-for 002/1968. Hit my numbers okay except the first 15 minutes of the mash were way low (142ish) so it may dry out a bit more than intended.

I kegged my special bitter yesterday. First time I made one. Midway between ordinary bitter and ESB. I week old and already delicious. It might be a bitter style I end up preferring, ordinary is a bit watery and ESB a bit too malty.

Racked my doppelbock to a keg for months worth of conditioning. The sample seemed pretty good good already.

It's been months since I've brewed last but yesterday I made an English Mild and right now I'm boiling what I'm calling a Belgian Mild. Same concept but European and Belgian malts, hops, yeast.

I think I've got one of those Belgian Milds as well :spilly: i used Yorkshire Square yeast http://www.whitelabs.com/yeast/wlp037-y ... -ale-yeast" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and as most of the comments say it's got lots of phenolics

It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? Lol.

At first I wanted to try one of the new Abbaye dry yeasts but couldn't get to Daves to get some of the Safbrew. Instead I'm doing a split batch with T-58 and Belle Saison. Pilsner malt, special B, aromatic, caramunich, touch of carafa special III.

Going to do an english ale. S-04, MO, carastan, touch of C60. Possibly cutting with 10% flaked corn to lighten it up a bit. Still on the fence.

Just finished brewing my annual pumpkin beer for Halloween (though never exactly the same). An 8% (ish) brown with 2 row, munich, aromatic, brown and special B. With a pumpkin "syrup" I made - pureed pumpkin simmered with water and brown sugar with maple syrup added after straining pulp. Just added some cinnamon sticks and cloves to fermenter.

Hmmm, where'd you find that yeast? I was looking to give it a try as well...

Dave brought it in for me but I think it's seasonal

I made 12gallons of a 1.065 brown ale that smelled like chocolate milk in mash tun. Carabrown is quickly becoming my favourite specialty malt.

Hey liver dance I picked up some of that wlp037 and saw some people say it has high O2 requirements. Did you use your sealed fermentation system on your Belgian mild?

I didn't but I did seal the lid on my bucket. It isn't meant to be a belgian mild it just had a lot of phenol's once transferred, chilling and carbing has also added to them fading but I will use another yeast next time to get a more english flavor
