Help Save Jackson the Pit-Bull

Post by Jimmy » Mon Mar 02, 2015 8:28 pm

Some of you likely know Ken - AKA "Beer Tech". One of his dogs has been having a rough time and is racking up some serious medical bills. There's a gofundme fundraiser setup to help with the medical bills. I'm sure he would appreciate anything you can donate :cheers2:
My friend Ken is a great guy and a hard-working businessman. He's being hit hard by vet bills for his rescue pit-bull Jackson, who suffered cardiac-arrest after knee surgery (brought on by a recent fall through crusty snow). Jackson's recovery has been very slow and uncertain, and he hasn't been able to leave intensive care yet. Worse, he may have to be sent to PEI for further care there.

Jackson is an excellent dog (as are his housemates, also rescue pits) and Ken is a great friend to dogs. His care is costing a lot, and I know Ken would be grateful if any friends, pit-bull fanciers, and dog-lovers could help out.

Donation made
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
