If you really need to bring something, a bottle of white wine will go over well with the boss of all bosses:

Big House 2010 White
California, United States

$13.

Nope, we're good for all that. If you can't find that wine, any dry white in that price range is fine.

The pork is pulled and seasoned with a little sauce and vinegar. I ended up with almost 3 pounds, That should make quite a few mini burgers!

One wheel of Old Growler delivered. One keg of Propeller Pale Ale adulterated by me also delivered. :mebeer:

Rain should be done in about an hour max. It's hanging on a track a bit too south for my liking.

It is about time for a beer, though.

the beans are still a little thin... I'll be a little late (4ish) showing up, because I want to see if I can get them to thicken.

I see now that it's unnecessary, but Judy and I have a batch of pretzels headed into a vat of lye now. I sort of dropped off of the forum and missed the organization of this. We can bring a keg of Belgian Blonde if that's in order. See y'all soon.

Awesome evening! Frying some of D&M's potato salad for breakfast. Require recipe for that one and Larry's. Both were awesome.

Is it alright if I bring a friend along? He is a big beer lover and generously donating me a place to crash Saturday night.

Of course, the more the merrier!

As for the pies. I think 2 is more fine. It's not like this is a big sit down dinner, beer should be the main course. In fact I think its gone way overboard to the point where almost everyone is bringing enough food to feed a small army. If every person brings $10-$40 worth of food I wanna see who's going to eat it all!
There's almost no food leftover, about a dozen corn that's about to become chowder. Apparently we are now a small army.

Had a great time..... :spilly:

X, your 3 tap beer tower reminded me of a robot from an older sci-fi movie......I remembered this morning. It reminds me of "Robbie the Robot" from the 1956 movie "Forbidden Planet".

Many thanks to those who brought wine, food and beer, and also to Bruce Keith for the ice. Good to see some new faces too. I'll get some pics up as the days go along. Quite a successful event.

A great time from my end of things. Great new faces, a little wet, but the beer and company made up for that.
X, I'll be by this afternoon for my stuff.
Cheers!

I've got one extra thumb tap and ball lock connector set-up. It is the type with the threaded MFL end. Check your inventories. Also have a growler from Picaroons. They aren't cheap, so if anybody would like that back, I'll leave it empty for a while.

Thanks X for hosting & to everyone who brought food and beer. It was nice to be back in Halifax for a weekend. I certainly enjoyed myself and it was nice to see everyone. I'm curious to see the recipes for a few of those delicious creations which I ate & drank so hopefully there will be lots of posts in the recipes & food porn sections!

Marta and I had a good time too - surprisingly, I did not have a problem with my head this morning, which was a good thing since I was competing in a bridge tournament. otoh, my play still sucked...

Thanks Robert, Shelley, and everybody who contributed.

Great to finally meet you Jimmy, as well as Sean, Graham, Sandy, Brian, Brian the face behind Liverdance (yes, I'll get you that water analysis as soon as I find it), and no doubt a few other names I've already forgotten.
Currently on tap: Whiter Shade of Pale!

Can someone write a memorable paragraph about the night for the Hoptopberfest web site? Also, if anyone has photos that I may put on the web site, please send them to me. Nash, may I use yours?
