Is there a way to search instagram for photos in the same way we now look through the system directory? I ask as I still have no idea what the problem/solution is for my invalid file type upload issues from the cell....

Re: Instagram
Not that I know of...well, not an easy fix. I'll take a look at your cell the next time I see you to see if I can figure out what is going on. What browser do you use?mr x wrote:Is there a way to search instagram for photos in the same way we now look through the system directory? Re: Instagram
Whatever browser comes with google phones, chrome maybe? I know the file system isn't corrupt, because I uploaded the picture to Instagram. Could it be the file name is too long for phpBB?

Yeah, using the android web browser. I don't find it that inconvenient, but I would like to know why it doesn't work before I buy something that won't work either.RubberToe wrote:X are you trying to browse the site and upload images to brewnosers with the android web browser?

Re: Instagram
I wonder if it could be a file size problem. Did you try a low res image?

Re: Instagram
No, and maybe that's the issue, although I thought that I was uploading high res pics before. Is there a file size limit Jimmy?

Re: Instagram
hmmmm....and it 's sideways. WTF is with that? It showed normal rotation in mail, but when you view it, it goes sideways....

Re: Instagram
Figured some of it out. Need to take the picture with proper phone orientation (sideways), or the pic gets tagged as 90 degree rotation, even though it shows 0 degrees on screen. Easy to fix by rotating with software, but then the pic shows sideways on phone with 0 degree rotation tag. Lesson here - take pic right the first time.
Still doesn't explain the uploading problem though......

Re: Instagram
I didn't realize that was what you were figuring out last night. Did you solve the problem? Are you trying to search through your instagram history and upload something? Gramfeed is great for that, especially searching someone else's history. As for your own shots, instagram should store them in a folder in your phone's gallery, you may need to change a setting within IG for this, but it will keep the file on your phone for uploading.
If the file upload issue persists and isn't limited to instagram then it could be the bug detection algorithm Jimmy mentioned.

Re: Instagram
Problem not solved, but I put a question on phandroid about it. The root problem is being able to upload pics directly to the forum from the phone.
