Halifax in May
I'll be in Halifax in May from the 12-14th and staying at the Prince George hotel. My wife will be with me, but I'd still like to meet up with some other Brewnosers if possible. Anyone interested in having lunch one of those days at H&T or RB?

Excellent gents! Looking forward to finally meeting some of you guys. And I've still yet to try any of Nash's beers. I was at H&T last summer but when I was there the chiller was down and there was none of his beers available.

Sounds good to me. Remind us closer to the magical date.
And you'll be bringing us some of your beer, right??

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Hmm, I just checked, and the 14th is the second Tuesday of the month. Does that mean you'll be in town for a BN meeting? That would be great!

Re: Halifax in May
Chris, I'll be driving down on Sunday the 12th and will be leaving to come back home at supper time on Tuesday the 14th. So if your BN meeting is Tuesday night, unfortunately I won't be able to make it. I'll bring some of my beers down regardless.chalmers wrote:Hmm, I just checked, and the 14th is the second Tuesday of the month. Does that mean you'll be in town for a BN meeting? Since I will be staying at the Prince George Hotel, just wondering if it is a walkable distance to places like H&T, RB, Premier, etc.........you know......all of the important places!

You're just off centre - probably closer to H&T just by a hair, but all three locations are walkable - Downtown Halifax just isn't that big!canuck wrote:Since I will be staying at the Prince George Hotel, just wondering if it is a walkable distance to places like H&T, RB, Premier, etc.........you know......all of the important places!

The walk back from Premiere can be tricky. You'll be heavy with beer, but light on cash, lol.
