No rules adopted from other sites on this thread.
I’ve had a lot of help with my beer from the brewers of this site, and also from the judges who took the time to firstly train as judges and secondly to volunteer their time to provide valuable feedback. I’d like to give something back to the brewers here.
I thought I’d kick this thread off with some 1 lb bags of Nitrogen flushed Cascade leaf hops, my new system can only use pellets. I’ll even pay the postage. Give them a good home and make some good beer with them and they're yours.

Thanks
To be honest, I spent the afternoon at my secretary’s husband’s funeral. He died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday at the age 53. Life is so fucking short.

I'd love to get a bag of hops if you still have them up for grabs. Thanks in advance.

I would totally take a bag of those hops. I can only promise to make beer with them though. The "good" part is still way up in the air on my brews

One of the bags looks like it has been opened in the pic but it hasn't ...just the top is folded over.

I really really want to open the bag and stick nose (or my whole head) in there but I know I need to wait until I do a batch. Having used only pellets so far it looks like a huge amount.
For the record, I'm aiming to use them for the following brews over the coming months:
- Ed Wort's Bee Cave Haus Pale Ale
- A SMaSH with either Vienna or Munich as the base malt
- An attempt at an Anchor Steam clone, which they claim is a 2-row/Cascade SMaSH, but that doesn't explain the depth of color (I will likely try either a Scottish Ale-style carmelization or an extended boil to try to achieve this)

Re: Brewnoser’s Give Stuff Away Thread
No need to get any beer to me, I’m sure I’ll taste some of your beer sooner or later.
Definitely recommend putting your face in the bag though, they used to fill the whole kitchen with an aroma that my wife and I came to know and love …I’m going to start crying in a bit …I’m missing them now.
Good luck with the brews.

Re: Brewnoser’s Give Stuff Away Thread
Enough please! Thanks for the compliments, but I just gave away some bags of hops I didn’t need.
Lots of people do hell of a lot more than that …some examples,
1. As mentioned, the judges (should have also mentioned the people who taught the judges).
2. The team (Jimmy & Becky, X and Chalmers)
3. Chris (Chalmers) again for transporting stuff for people, and all the other work he does.
4. Everyone, including some pretty amazing brewers, for handing on their knowledge and experience.
5. Rob (X) and Shelley for Hoptoberfest and Jeff (HPhunter) and Kari (?sp.) for Moooovember
6. You Sandy, and lots like you, who help out whenever you can.
I’m humbled by all those people, and all the others I forgot to mention. Every moment someone does something on here to help a fellow brewer and that impresses me.
I’ve been thinking about the capper and caps, I almost bought a capper and caps before but ended up using PET bottles with screw on tops. I only need small bottles for comps. And that’s rare. I still have my wide necked SS drink bottles that sanitize in the dishwasher if I need to bottle more. So I probably don’t need them.

Re: Brewnoser’s Give Stuff Away Thread
Thanks for getting us in the giving spirit, G-Rock.
It was mentioned previously, but kind of forgotten, that user Brewnoser will be hosting the March meeting (Tuesday, March 11, 7:30 for an 8pm start, he lives at the NW corner of the Halifax Commons), and wanted to make it a bit of a Garage Sale/Swap meet. I would encourage folks who have things they'd like to sell/trade/give away to do so in that thread (click here). Photos and descriptions are appreciated.
Having said that, for those unable to make it to the meeting, feel free to use this thread for more give-aways.
