FS Counter pressure filler

Post by akr71 » Tue Sep 25, 2012 11:06 am

$50 seems like a reasonable price if it works - in Fredericton though.

Looks like a pain to clean, but I know a guy who commutes from Fredericton to Sackville every weekend if anyone wants it.

I suggest we consider using the group money to acquire this for communal use. It would be great for filling bottles to send to competitions.

Ever see the growler / bottle filler on display at Sea Level? It looks like the CPBF but has a stand for the bottles, making operation easier. I was thinking of making one myself and after some searching found a guy who already made something like this:

I think I'd do it slightly different, without the drilled plastic and more like the traditional CPBF.

Similar in principle to the Melvico.

The one at Sea Level is a Melvico. I have one as well, though it needs to be cleaned up and I don't really know how to use it. But since I have a beer gun, haven't really needed to bother.

I don't have pics, but also not really looking to sell it at the moment. Fixing it up is on the to do list! I would like to use it for beers that I plan to tuck away for extended periods. While the beer gun is good, it's still not a CP filler.

I'll take it! BBB has a keg of the BA beer at my house, just waiting to be bottled.
