LF temperature probes

Post by RubberToe » Mon Sep 17, 2012 11:44 am

Hey all, does anyone have a line on some temperature probes?

I've ordered 4 cheap RTD probes from China, one was DOA, and another has since died. The one that dies was for my smoker controller and the other two are on my brew rig.

I really need to get the smoker going again and it wouldn't hurt to have some spares. It doesn't matter if they're K-type, pt100 RTD, or some other type supported by Auber (long list). My PIDs are SYL-2352 and SYL-1512A.

Thanks,
-Rob

I'm just planning on getting the deluxe version of these:

http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=189" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you find something cheaper that works, please let me know.

Get a roll of the metal clad tc wire from ebay. Comes out of Quebec.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I am now in the market for these as well so keep me posted :spilly:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

It's less about the protective shield and more about the panel mount connector. You can grab a matching panel mount connector off of ebay, but after you add the cost of those, plus the roll of wire shield it costs the same or more as the extra $22 for the 2 X deluxe upgrade.

Checking out that tc wire and I'll prob get some regardless. I have those disconnects from Auber.

Sent from the brew timer.
