What kind do you have now?

That looks like mine but mine's 30A.

I have mine in my main panel. Cutler Hammer BR series breaker, this one looks similar but isn't officially compatible.

Well if anyone here is going electric and willing to wire everything up to what's required for 50A this is a steal. I paid about $130 for my 30A.

how would one wire this to 30a 220V? I'm interested, but not sure I want to fuck around with rewiring the whole house, lol

Well if you put a regular 30A breaker somewhere I think it could be up to code. I'm not en electrician so not sure what side it would need to be on or other details.

And it's prob not the rest of your house wiring you'd beed to worry about by make sure your brew panel and stuff is up to 50A if you use it as is.

I have my 50A spa panel hook up to a 40A breaker in my main panel. All done by professionals so it meets code
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Interesting. You realize the the Spa breaker will never trip unless it's a GFCI since the panel breaker is smaller.

Just saying.

The GFCI protection would be the reason for the spa panel.
