Up to you but I don't see why not! They were really good. The beer in them really tied them in with the beer we drank.
I didn't count the sausage but I'd say they average around 4 oz each maybe, so likely about 80. $4/lb, great deal.

Moved the posts here. I think this is our direction. Did you do anything out of the ordinary for buns?

Sourdough buns from the little local bakery, Gingerbreadhaus. They were also fabulous! I didn't ask but they'd likely be up for making them with spent grain and or beer.

I think I'd be happy with the sourdough, but peeps can discuss here.

Beer sausage with sourdough buns, with or without spent grain sounds great to me.

The sausage/bun combo Nash put together was great. If anything, I'd like to see the sausages a touch drier, but that was my only complaint.

Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

I'll overcook yours next time. No problem!

Sounds like a great plan - what about the hop infused mustard? That still possible?

I've not been before. Do you have a band there ever Mr. X, or an open mike? must be some musicians on here, or friends of musicians.

We've not had music. I would not be opposed, but it might be hard to manage.

If the crowd is a similar size to last year, might be hard to find space to park a few musicians at times.

Between drinking the beer and eating food and talking about beer and brewing with everyone there really is enough going on that I think live music would only be an unnecessary distraction.

I agree. Plus it could cause some unwanted noise complaints/fines...

BUT! Would it entertain and provide some relief for non-brewing wives and girlfriends who like to drink beer, but have to talk brewing and beer nonstop in their daily lives?
It isn’t my party, and it’s probably an excellent do without the music. Just throwing it out there. I’m not a Cape Bretoner, or a Newfoundlander, but fiddle music or something like that, seems to fill the air with happiness and goes nicely with beer. Sounds like a rock band wouldn't be the thing, from what you are saying.

There just isn't space, my neighbors are quite good about noise, and certainly owe me a loud late nighter or two, but I can't see it working spacewise.

OK Bluenose, I'll shut up about the damn music now. Do I at least get some credit for being persistent though

I'm back to work this week, so I will have time to dedicate to more planning. I'm thinking just some snack food. And gotta work on the sauerkraut.

I'm not too creative when it comes to food-stuffs, thankfully EZ is the brains in this family, or else I'd starve or eat shitty fast food every night.
Can someone give me specific suggestions on what to bring, otherwise I will show up with beer and a financial donation.

I think just snacky type things. Dips crackers, nuts, whatever. I think it'll be 5$ head for 2 sausages, does that seem reasonable?
