Go to a local bakery with a jug o beer and spent grain, have them make beer and spent grain snausage buns. Grill 'em on WOOD. Everyone can eat one or two and take some home if there's any leftover. That, or start selling them on eBay and we'll get rich. Easy to have done, fast and easy to cook, delicious to eat. Mmmm, sweet delicious beer, hops and pork. It is Hoptoberfest, after-all :cheers2:

Or smoke a suckling. Or not

Beer. Hops. Pork.

That's right.

Ask them not to put too much salt in the sausages. My father in law used to have them made for their famous maple syrup breakfast thing in the woods, and I always found them WAY too salty.

I like the idea of doubling down on the Oktoberfest theme by doing sausages. Currywurst would be the logical extension of this thought!
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

I'm sure some do and some don't. Sometimes they use bread as filler. Safest bet make your own

I'm hoping to make it, so long as my grapes don't come the same weekend.

I can make a bucket of fresh sauerkraut. Sausages sound wicked.

Has anyone made hop sausages before and tried them? I tried googling and couldn't find anything. Would they be very bitter?

I came across lots of recipes to cook sausages in beer.

I have 20 lbs of beer and hop snausage being made, Friday pickup. Feed 'em to the test subjects Saturday!

I shall report back.

Is September 28 still the target date currently? Lining up baby sitters, place to stay, days off for buddies that'll be travelling with me.
