My kettle is only 48 litres, and I'm not sure my little burner has enough juice to bring 12 gallons to a good boil.

Tim, if you're okay with it, I'd be ok to only end up with 15L of beer at the end, so that should allow everything to fit on your system.

Okay, not enough Blonde talk going on: are folks still up for coming by for a blonde tasting? Bring a couple bottles each?

Sure let's just see how far we can push it.

I've got enough on hand to do a pretty good approximation of that recipe. I have crystal 75 instead of 65. Do you think caramunich 120 is a good sub for the crystal 121? I don't have any challanger hops. I have a fresh package of 1084 irish ale yeast we could try or we could go with the 1968 they suggest. I think NG stocks it?

I thin you might be able to get c120 at NG now....

I've got Challenger hops. Lemme know what else I can pick up.
Do you have enough yeast for both, otherwise we could do a starter, or I could buy my own, we could try different yeasts.
Do you have beersmith? If so, can you punch the recipe in, and see how the numbers come out?

I forget how we got them, but it wasn't through our normal channels. A lucky break, I believe.

As a 50 minute addition, I wouldn't get too bent out of shape about them. I'd use pretty much anything at that time. I quite honestly don't know how much difference there is between the 60 and 50 minute additions. I know that's an award winning recipe, but it seems weird to me.

Sure let's do different yeasts and compare. I'll plug all the info into beersmith tonight.

OK, got it all plugged in. Looks good, although I agree some of it seems weird. Bring 1/2 oz of challanger if you want, or we can just use fuggles or ekg. I don't think it will make much difference. If you have any crystal 120 bring about a lb or I can pick some up.

Sure. Just drop down. If no one's home just leave it on the back deck.

If you can get your blonde on the plane, I'd be happy to have you leave it at my place here in Calgary!

Touch base when you arrive and we'll grab a pint.

Yup, that should cover you. I think we should be able to get about 35 litres.
