I'm at the Fall River rib competition all day, so unfortunately I am not available for any of the usual prep work.

Last time I hosted we got 5 or 6 coolers full and that was more than enough. I have a cooler the ice men can use in the pickup.

To hold the ice, we don't necessarily need coolers, just something to contain it. Though we should designate a clean cooler for ice that can be put in drinks, if necessary.

They said any time. They open at 11:00 so my thinking is get it early so that the chiller has time to recharge before the afternoon crowd. Alternatively a single person could make several runs and that might be less disruptive to their needs.

I have 2 old school blue coleman coolers that I could volunteer - likely can come to help with ice in general (doesn't seem like the softball game is going to come to fruition due to lack of interest..)

I second what Jimmy said. It's such a great event with great people. Last year was my first one. I didn't know anyone but walked around back introduced myself and met some great people. Such a blast and can't wait for the 20th.

Decision was made long ago I realize but just wanted to chime in that I'm glad we went this way vs. the Food Truck idea. One of the things I love about Hoptoberfest is the food. Almost more so than the beer. If it was entirely outsourced it just wouldn't be the same.

People are welcome to drop things off at my house anytime on Saturday. I'll try to park on the street most of the day so people can back in with bigger and heavier things.

I'll the check the forecast on Saturday morning and make a call as to whether we need the canopies, tarps, etc.
