Hotwire is always a good option…. I know someone recently got a night in the Westin for 50 bucks which is pretty good!

Hotwire was one I hadn't checked, thanks! Expedia and hotels.com weren't much help.Jayme wrote:Hotwire is always a good option…. I know someone recently got a night in the Westin for 50 bucks which is pretty good!

I think sometimes the rates go lower the closer you are to the actual date. Assuming nothing else major is going on of course.

What hotels are nearby please. I don't know where Mr. X's place is yet.

Atlantica is the closest to X. I believe their rates are quite reasonable as well.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Re: Hoptoberfest 2013 - Sept 28
you don't get breakfast if you go through a discount site for Atlantica, but you do if you pay real price, which can sometime be closer than the cost of their breakfastbenwedge wrote:Atlantica is the closest to X. I believe their rates are quite reasonable as well.
you also might not get parking included IIRC, if so then you may get a better price overall by booking direct
that's what happened to us anyway

For four guys I'd get a suite at The Lord Nelson that way there's lots o space, also fairly close to x's and I think parking free, or it used to be.

There is overnight parking on our street that is pretty safe. But it's never guaranteed to be open. But I'd be surprised if there wasn't open spots.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think we may just end up grabbing a room our two at Cambridge Suites. Not that close to X, but it'll put us downtown with covered parking.

That place rents out apartments short term, linens, utensils, pots and pans, flat screen, balcony etc, the whole nine yards. Basically for a song, used to be anyways. A friend came up from Moncton two yrs ago and rented one for 2 or 3 nights, it was a 2 bedroom penthouse fully decked out for ~ $125 per night.

I was looking forward to this but it looks like I'm out, I have family commitments up in Antigonish which normally occur over Thanksgiving weekend...

I'm going to make another thread for the ice crew to organize, and send out a spam so that I can judge numbers for food.
