Right back at ya!RubberToe wrote:Wow, tough competition. Congrats Andy, well done!!
I had high hopes for the RIS co-brewed with Jeff & Graham

BTW - My silver medal is for a beer that didn't even make the 2nd round of the Garrison Brew-off (however, as a Belgian Golden Strong)

Cool, my Blond won a silver at the Werhogs comp. Feels good, eh?
I'm a bit bummed that my other prized brews didn't even place though. Oh well, can't win em all! The BJCP feedback is awesome though, I can't wait to improve them and send them in to another one.

I look forward to seeing the score sheets and building on mine too!
Congrats you guys from all us drunkers who wrote the BJCP exam today, at least all of us here now.
Graham from Jayme's account, Gavin is just confusing things here.

Re: 2013 Ales Open. The results.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
