Excellent! Maybe we should do this as a group?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

there are no limits to how many beers you can enter. There are no style categories for this competition. Winter seasonal brews are emphasized, but not required to be a winner. If you collaborated with other brewers to make the beer, list their names on the entry form. Entries can be submitted in bottles ranging from 330ml to 2L, capped, corked or swingtop, it does not matter, but 330ml is the absolute minimum. Please submit 3 bottles for each entry at a minimum.
planning: beer for my cousin's wedding
Fermenting: black ipa
Conditioning:
Kegged: barrel barleywine from 2014 - i think i still have this somewhere

This is one where I'd be happier to get 2nd or 3rd prize - nice pots.

I'm going to try and see if Delta Force can put something together for this... I suppose it would have to ship in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

So you don't even specify a style? I've never entered any competitions so I'm not sure of the normal procedure.

This event is not about conforming. It is about getting to make your Beer at a Craft brewery and then showcase your Beer at the Ottawa Winter Brewed Festival. There is no worrying about styles. Not a BJCP event.

To be considered for a GABF Pro-Am brewing opportunity you must be an AHA member.

It's just part of the (BJCP) competition handling software they are running on the site, probably originally made for the American Homebrew Association. The same system is running for a bunch of different competitions.

SO we do need to be AHA members? Or not?

I had 3 ideas for this one but life got in the way and I only executed one. I'll see this weekend if it's worthy of sending in!

We sent in 2 beers. Kitchen Sink Christmas - spruce tips, fresh hops, pumpkin, and spices... sounds like a mess but it's a year old and melded pretty well. Also the Spruce IPA that we intend to brew with Nash.
