Justin is the guy in charge, and currently holding onto the sheets.

However, if you (or anyone else) wants me to drop by and pick up sheets, I could do that, and scan/email them. Probably won't happen till I'm home from NB next week, though.

Congrats guys
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Thanks everyone. It was a great time and I got to meet some awesome people.

I just entered looking for some feedback because none of my friends or family are really into craft beer... The best I typically get is, "It's pretty good, but not really my thing." or if it's my super awesome (IMHO) IPA it's, "I feel like I just licked the bottom of a lawnmower."

I'm super proud of my buddy Dave who took home gold! :headbang:

Scores were 43/41/40. Jeff (Brewnoser) was supposed to upgrade my 43 to a 45 by the end of the evening, but I lost track of him. ;)

Cheers.

FYI, the 3 finale judges prepared score sheets for the Final Four, but it looks like they weren't distributed to you. When I'm in picking up sheets for the folks who have contacted me, I'll ask Justin for them, and scan them for your information as well. The more sheets, the better, in my opinion.

Hi folks, just an FYI that I've contacted Justin @ Garrison about dropping by tomorrow to grab the sheets, but haven't heard back from him. Hopefully he'll let me know quickly. It may not hurt to let him know yourself that you'd like the sheets, and that it's OK if I pick them up. Or, maybe he'd be willing to scan/send them??

Local amateur brewers place in top four in competition
Two local men’s porter recipes impressed the judges of the Garrison Home Brew-Off competition last week, placing them in the top four.

http://www.ngnews.ca/News/Local/2015-03 ... petition/1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
David Martin of Scotsburn and Kent Brooks of Westville went up against 82 other entries from the Maritime provinces, narrowed down to four to be judged during the gala.

Martin came in first, while Brooks came in fourth for the two beers that were both brewed at Brooks’s place in Westville.

“We believed we were making good quality beer. We were only looking for feedback from the judges on how we could improve our process. We never thought we would place in the top four, let alone win,” Martin said of why they entered.

Brooks has been grain brewing for approximately a year, introducing Martin to it shortly after.

The competition called for a robust porter, a type of brew the pair hadn’t made before.

They paid close attention to guidelines set out by the Beer Judge Certification Program.

“We hit all of our targets on both brew days and during fermentation, the whole process went pretty smooth.”

As the gold medal winner, Martin will be joining Daniel Girard, Garrison’s brewmaster, in brewing a full-sized batch of their recipe, which will be released as a Garrison seasonal.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Had Justin responded?

I know the sheets are in a shelving unit immediately to the right of the front door, but the staff may not have known that. There were still 6-8 left when I picked up Mark and Mark's yesterday afternoon.

Justin has asked that those people who would like to know whether they advanced to the second round or not to email him for that information.
There were no second round sheets, this round was done by Daniel & Brew Crew, in-camera.
I was not given the final round sheets. It would be best to email Justin for those, he said he would scan and email them for you four.
