I’m entering the first batch only …the one I developed an amicable relationship with on brewday.

I never did get along with the second batch, which was done trying out my new mash pot. So many things went wrong on that brew day that I ended up hating that batch and I feel like kicking the kegs every time I walk by them. I just tasted the second batch again to give it one last chance. I didn’t like it like I like I love batch #1, but then I knew I wouldn’t like that little bastard.

We ran out of my other beer and this stuff (first attempt one) is oddly quite drinkable. It might even have "drinkability". I didn't think I'd like weisens and was thinking up ways to get rid of it but might hang on to at least some of it. Didn't take long to grow on us. Would be better on a hot summer day, rather than a few hours before another blizzard.

Apologies for the half drunk glass picture.

Looks great, Mark!

I'll try to post a pic of mine later. Andrew came over for a bit yesterday and we did a little tasting of each others'. I may have gone a little overboard with mine but we'll see.

Thanks Rob, It passed my drinkability test a bit too well. Had to have some Alka-Seltza today. Was reminded about Alka-Seltzer in Keith's hangover thread, and it's my mother's fav. hangover Rx. They used to advertise it for the Blahs.
It was once marketed as a cure-all; at one time, its ads even suggested taking it for "the blahs". Subsequent promotion has taken into consideration that aspirin is a drug that is not tolerated by everyone, and the product is no longer advertised in this fashion.
Any way, Alka-Seltzer cured my Blahs today, we had a baby sitter and went out and celebrated Valentines day.

Nice day.

ps. Nothing wrong with "overboard" ...better than mundane and ho hum :) Good Luck! I'm sure you know what you are doing.

Did anyone ship their beer for this comp? I have a sample i was going to send via courier today and i'm just curious what address everyone used to ship and if there were any special requirements for shipping the samples.

I'm going to drop mine off tomorrow, I hope I don't forget! It's way too much work just to let it go like that.

Tomorrow is the last day, folks. Remember you can also drop the entry at your local Noble Grape, if getting into Garrison is a big PITA.

Just gave mine to Kirsten at Coldbrook NG. Ed's driving it down tomorrow. Thanks Noble Grape.

:cheers2:

I took a couple of extra bottles and exchanged for a sample of Kirsten's to try.

If you dropped them off cold, I wouldn't get your hopes up, they are out back drinking them as we speak.

As long as someone enjoys them. If there's 50 - 60 entries, I don't have much hopes for placing.
