Im ashamed to admit it, but wtf, lesson learned....
7 am and hungover is NOT the time to start a boil....
split my batch this morn for 2 seperate boils....and forgot to adjust the hops accordingly...so my first boil went off just fine...with twice the hops intended and didnt realize till I was weighing out hops for the 2nd batch.
Wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt for the 60 min addition. So now boiling up the 2nd half with no hops, and will add to the first. Guess Ill just dry hop if my utilization was too low....bummer. on the bright side tho, Ill have 5 gal of this one instead of 2.5!
major screwup this morn...

You won't get any IBU's out of dry hopping remember. I'm sure it'll be fine.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Yeah your utilization will be lower for the first half but I'm sure it will be fine.

Man I read major screw up and was expecting something epic... I can't count on one hand the number of times I've fucked up adding or not adding hops at the right time! Particularly first wort hops. I almost always forget to add them. Anyhow, I'm sure your batch will turn out just fine! I would call it a minor oversight.
