ever surprised when you finish a keg?

Post by RubberToe » Mon Jan 23, 2012 6:58 pm

I just went down to grab a beer for supper and my keg of pale ale kicked. I thought something else was wrong but when I checked it was all gone! I thought I had around 50% left, guess I was wrong. :drunk:

Are you ever surprised at how fast you go through a keg?

Yeah, sometimes.
I had a keg kick this weekend that I was hoping to enjoy most of the weekend. Oh well, it just meant a trip to the lager fridge
to haul another keg up the stairs.
Now I get to brew again :spilly:

i hate when I make it my mission to finish a keg that I think is near empty, those mornings after suck and the bastid is still going
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
