Thanks for the offer. I think the knockout will do me fine for now, but I'll keep that in mind.RossBee wrote:I got a plasma cutter, that would make it easier and quite a bit faster. You're more than welcome to it.

Overflowing starter. VPB1188, sibling of the Thulsa Doom v1 yeast. I'm making a DIPA this weekend. Punchy grapefruit citrus.

I will keep that in mind - with an 11 year old who thinks I run both a brewery and a BBQ restaurant, his ideas are pretty much endlesss.

Since X thought I'd gone off the deep end and got rid of the keezer, I figured I'd post a picture of it with the Perlick 630SS faucets installed.

Re: Random brewing pics
I like those clear lids. Let you see how it's fermenting without opening it. I wonder if they fit on the white buckets so I don't have to buy both pieces?
Currently on tap:
1) Festa Brown Ale
2) Festa Pale Ale
3) Best Case Northern Lights
4) Festa Continental Pilsner
In the bucket: Empty
In the carboy: Empty
Buy yourself a 24 and you'll be happy for a weekend. Teach yourself to homebrew and you'll be happy for a lifetime.

Re: Random brewing pics
Brewing with some mystery hops picked by my Dad. They smell great, hopefully they taste good too!
BTW, 8 oz of whole hops is a royal pain to deal with when transferring wort.

Re: Random brewing pics
A little something I'm playing with. I'm using USB temperature probes (Google temper usb thermometre) to read the ambient temp and temperature on the side of a fermenter. The drastic shift is me playing with the calibration.
