Looks interesting... I might be up for one. Maybe obk could give us one at a good price for a hoptoberfest prize.

Very interesting. That's a great price. Curious if they work the same as a Blichmann and if you need to buy anything extra for them.

I think the Blichman purges the bottle with CO2 and it looks as if the OBK one does not. Still interesting though but looks like a trigger operated tap.

At that price, I think SAAZ should consider investing in one. Something to discuss Saturday? I don't think it would be overly inconvenient for 3 of us to share it...

Yes, the Blichmann has two triggers: one for CO2 and one for beer.RubberToe wrote:I think the Blichman purges the bottle with CO2 and it looks as if the OBK one does not. Still interesting though but looks like a trigger operated tap.
The OBK-bottled beer would probably not last very long without a CO2 purge. Looks like a neat gadget, though.

Agreed, though if all 3 of us are throwing in, it might be worthwhile to go the Blichmann route so to be able to purge the bottles of CO2. Though I wonder if it's really any different than bottle priming/capping? You'd be sealing in some oxygen that way too. I'm confused.akr71 wrote:At that price, I think SAAZ should consider investing in one. Something to discuss Saturday? I don't think it would be overly inconvenient for 3 of us to share it...

Re: Beer gun, worth it?
I think the big difference it when it foams up from being already carbonated. Either way I would be in on splitting, either one really. I hate bottling, anything to make it easier for me to share my beer and enter comps is a good investment for me.jeffsmith wrote:Agreed, though if all 3 of us are throwing in, it might be worthwhile to go the Blichmann route so to be able to purge the bottles of CO2. Re: Beer gun, worth it?
Hi Guys our model is a real beer gun. These have been popular in Austrila for a decades. It is primarily a very good looking portable faucet. It is not a counter pressure bottle filler.
