I've been looking for some BLC. Any suggestions on good places to get it?

IIRC, I got this on a real old Morebeer order. FWIW, it's closely related to sodium hydroxide, which I've used before too. This is probably a better blend though.

Yea i seen that, but given their prices on other stuff and ~$16 shipping it was hardly worth it.

Could always call draftpro, see if they sell it. I might call them about acid line cleaner.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Neighbors look away quickly when they see me brewing on the back deck at night. Not really sure what they think and they've never asked!

My 20 gallon (75.7 litres) turned out to hold only 68 litres (~18 gal).

Yeah Yeah Man! I'm off to the Amarillo Galaxy with my stainless steel spaceship pictured below at warp 9 :bolt:

“Amarillo Galaxy” American IPA, ABV 6.2, SRM 7.7, OG 1.056
Malt: 80% MO, 2% Cara-Pils, 18% Munich 11
Hops (10 Gal batch): Amarillo 6oz FWH, 5oz 10 mins, 5oz flameout. Plus 4oz Galaxy at flameout.
Yeast: US-05

It's going to have tangerine, peach and passion fruit flavours, and will be a golden orange colour to match the flavours. It might not turn out that way, but there's nothing wrong with having a rich fantasy life.

I think I might be getting the orange colour. OG sample next to a glass of fresh and still cloudy Champagne Cascade Blonde.

Not exactly a brewing pic, but brewing related...

picked up a mini fridge, going to use it as a lagering chamber...and it may lead me down the path of kegging (down the road).

freezerless mini fridge from kijiji (free)...cut the can holders and shelves off of the door...fits a carboy or a bucket (cut a milk create as a shelf)

Brewing a Caramel Corn Bitter with real popcorn and caramelized sugar. Was a little afraid the nearly 4 gallons of popcorn wouldn't fit in my mash basket but after I milled them down all was good.
