Just finished an afternoon brew …my “Bramarillo" APA. MO, some dark munich and a bit of carapils and acid malt. Large FWH (skimmed early boil ;)), and large late & whirlpool, and a light dry hop with Brambling Cross and Amarillo and a large 2 min addition of Galaxy. Conan yeast with a bit of extra 02 for more peach flavoured esters (I get peach, but supposed to be apricot). It’s going to be very fresh and fruity.

Vienna Lager today. If it goes well I may prepare everything for a Northern English Brown which will be going in the conical. I have a 4.5L starter of Denny's Fav 50 rocking for that.

Trying a simple 5 gal Pale 2-Row and Citra SMaSH, 1.055 OG, 50 IBU with a 60 min and 5 min boil addition using US-05......30 mins left in the boil and the rain has held off, a huge success :spilly:

First time doing back-to-back batches in one day... Amber ale and cream ale... Gotta build an inventory for the summer. :spilly: :headbang:

Don't think I'd ever have the energy to do back to back batches!

I was able to rip out a 3 hour batch last time so I'm thinking that I won't be looking to double up. My pipeline is filling nicely. I'm thinking of bottling a batch or two of session ale for the summer as well.

Just had a couple taps shoot yeast. Have 3 kegs I need to fill so will be planning a massive brew week. Need to get some grain from Dave. Have all the hops I need. :) Belma IPA, and I think a Galena WFM.

I wonder if galena, warrior and Belma would work together. Possible DIPA.

Just brewed my first batch today! 1 gallon of American IPA using an extract kit from Everwood. Starting small, but I think I caught the bug. Watching the hotbreak was inspiring.

ok pretty much done cleaning up (maybe half hour tomorrow tops) after my back-to-back batches.

My process was
heat strike water 1 and pump to cooler mash tun, and mash in
heat strike water 2 for single vessel biab, mash in, boil 90 mins, cool and pump to fermenter
pump batch 1 from cooler to keggle and boil 70 mins, cool and pump to fermenter
clean up

total time 7 hrs 40 mins

times don't include measuring and grinding grain. I'll measure SG tomorrow to see how I did efficiency wise

night John Boy

edit: mash times were longer than needed due to supper break... almost 2 hrs for batch 2 biab and over 5 hrs for batch one in the cooler mash tun... so there's room to shorten the day there

Going to try my hand at a pilsner and let it ferment outdoors. Depending on how nice it is out I may try doing decoctions.
