Just finished a quick upgrade on my little keezer. Installed a second tap, three way manifold and a fan to keep the lines up top a little cooler so I can avoid that first warm pour.

One thing I thought I would mention is that if you're ordering the basic chrome tap anytime soon through OBK, you may want to specify that you'd like a the tap with the standard inside diameter. Visually, they are slightly different but since the inside diameter is different, I can't use my new OBK growler filler on my new OBK tap.

Here's a side shot showing the slight difference of the taps. The newer one is the squared off body.

Very nice. Next item is to save your nickels and put that money towards some Perlick 525 faucets.

Lord help me if my wife is a lurker here, but...... Let's just say I was to get the 525 faucets, they would just thread onto my existing shanks... right?

Just upgraded to a second perlick myself. I'm likely going to order some more ahead of time before I bring my 4 keg fridge inside (have 2 on a mini fridge now)

Just found this thread, here's my contribution:

This all started with me buying a wine rack  There have been a few changes since I built it late last year. I'm working on getting some nicer photos . Small note: This particular commerical keg did not fit upright, but most do (others form the same brewery and homebrew corny kegs) .Full album here :headbang:

I was just going to make this quick and functional until I saw what Barr did with his - then I got carried away. Maybe someday I'll have a spot for it other than in the furnace room!

While I was in my driveway making the collar, the insulation literally blew into my yard from the reno job going on up the street. :rockin:

Right now I'm chilling my first keg so that I can force carbonate it, but it looks like it will probably still be tomorrow night when I pour my first draught.

Looks awesome James :cheers3:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Hey, thanks guys!

I got impatient and tried the whole quick carbonation by rocking the keg on the floor under pressure thing, and was actually able to enjoy the first pint tonight. It's still a little under-carbonated, but I think it's going to be the best beer I've ever made - and it's on tap.
