From what I’ve learnt of the Brewnosers over the past few months since I’ve been here…I’d say you have been invited around for a beer Nathan. ;)

Somehow your Taptalk got everyone saying what everyone else said in your quote. You have become the expert on Pumpkin ale already. I’m coming to your place for a drink. Trevor wants to know what the hell pumpkin ale is like. That’s really funny  . When can I come for my drink. :mmm:

There have been a few glitches with that Taptalk.

We brewed the above, and a Bock. Long brewday, but we had fun, ribs, honey garlic deer sausages and my Grolsch clone.

Someone returned some crushed grains and a smacked yeast pack to NG so I'm making an Irish American red ale out of it. East Kent Goldings and Centennial for the hops.

Just wrapping up the boil on our fresh hop ipa. Went to Greenwich and then Fauxburg to harvest hops. Got back in the city by midnight... We started at 9am but had a round of golf in berwick. Stayed up until 5am pulling the hops off the bines. Obviously has a late morning and now were brewing the ipa. Ill have some pics... We decided to use all in one batch, all late additions. 3.4kg of hops in a 5 gallon batch. Hop soup. Last year was only 2.4 kg.

I'm brewing an ESB late hopped with some fresh wet mystery hops this afternoon. I'm still working on getting the basement together, building another copper pipe dipstick to measure my kettle volume right now. Then I can measure out my grain and get the mash water heated.

If anyone wants to drop by for a beer that would be cool. I have a growler of something special too.

My new pot is too small! Grrrr... Had to drain off some mash water to fot my 13 kg grain bill. The pot is about 68 litres... I gotta go do some math, I thought it was bigger.

"20 gallon pot". 20 gallons is 75.7 litres. This pot is 70 litres max. I want an 80 litre pot.

I've been kicking around the idea of a rye stout for a while now (think oatmeal stout, but sub the oats for rye malt). I'm finally getting around to it tomorrow.

My experience with pots is that they're never as big as they're supposed to be. I can guarantee you that my 48 litre kent pot is nowhere near 48 litres.

Going to do a party-gyle double batch, english IPA (6%) and standard bitter (3.5%). Grain bill is mariss otter, carastan, victory and aromatic, hops brewers gold and goldings.

Making a "clone" of DFH 60 min IPA. The quotes are due to the lack of Amarillo. Hopefully subbing out cascade will be ok. The continuous hop additions are kind of a pain in the ass. OG target at about 1.070. First attempt at an all grain IPA.

Good luck, cascade won't be the same but will be equally great I would say. 1.070 seems a bit high for a 6 abv beer....

That's what I thought. Turns out I only hit 1.060. Recipe must have known my efficiency would be low, ha.
