Bar Keepers Friend local?

Post by TimG » Thu Feb 24, 2011 1:16 pm

Looking for some Bar Keepers Friend to clean up a few small rust deposit spots on the inside of my corny (sanke.. going to be tough to get in there and scrub). Is this available anywhere in HRM.. or is there an easier to find alternative that will help me get rid of these deposit spots?

Thanks

Tim

Tim I've definatley seen it somewhere. It may have been been Stokes in the HFX Shopping Center, or Back Yard and Veranda in Bedford
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I think I've seen it at Cucina Moderna right across form Premiere Wine and Spirits.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

That is absolutly correct. It is at the cucina moderna at the sunnyside mall for sure. That is where I get it. Also that purple stuff at Nobel Grape is exceptionally good. I just let it soak overnight and it feels like all you have do is blow on the deposits and they fall apart.

You need some acid my friend. I have lots. It'll strip rust off anything like nuts in seconds, and burn holes in your skin, or most anything else. Also, a strong acid-wash solution will strip it right off, have lots of that too.

Fyi, was into CT today, and they are carrying BKF in powder and liquid form for a pretty good price. $2.99 for good sized bottles.

For the record, Home Hardware carries it too, powder last time I got it, about the same price.
