I had a package of this that I won in one of the 2013 competitions and it's been sitting in my fridge for over a year.
I did a split batch of IPA today (Citra and Falconer's Flight) half on S-33, the other on S-04. Right now they're sharing the same fermentation chamber that's set to 18C/65F. It's only been a few hours and the S-33 has taken right off, no oxygenation either.
Has anyone here ever used this yeast? I'm going for a Belgian IPA so I'll probably let it ramp up past 70F. I want to ferment the S-04 IPA colder so I'll probably have to separate these mofos.

Re: Safbrew S-33
I had a stuck fermentation, which the webz say is common with S-33. But I wasn't fermenting as high as 70F.

I seem to remember getting a packet of this stuff in a Festa Brew Oatmeal Stout years ago. Wierd.
