Hey everyone, on the topic of gas grills... what are some good quality gas grills to look out for? My Dad is looking for something decent, possibly stainless, but not so huge. He wants something with quality, that will last and also perform well. We've both had so called stainless steel grills that rust out in a couple of years and he wants to avoid that again. I've already suggested a Kamado but he's not interested in charcoal right now.
Thanks for any advice!
-Rob

I have had great luck with grills made in Canada by OEC - they are the Sterling, Broil Mate and Broil King lines. First Sterling one lasted 13+ years with a couple of burner replacements (one of them under warranty). I've had my Broil King now for 5 years and just replaced the burner under warranty. They are great to deal with as well.

I'm a big fan of Weber. I have a Genesis 330 that's 4 years old and still looks and works like new. The shroud is porcelain enamel so it holds the heat really well, even in -20ºC weather. I use it all year around.

FWIW - OEC is also the Weber rep for Canada.

OEC or OMC? I didn't realize they had any affiliation with Weber. Good to know.

I'm on year 11 with my Broil King and it still runs like a champ. The only thing that I have had to do to it is replace the heat shields twice. I'd buy another Broil King in a heartbeat.

When I got my last burner under warranty, I asKed about the heat/ drip shield under the casting, since it had rusted. They threw it in for free even though its warranty had expired. Excellent customer service.

No worries just wanted to clarify. I wasn't aware that Weber didn't handle their own distribution in Canada. Kind of surprises me in a way. They seem like a company that would want to be in the drivers seat for the entire sales process.
