Practice wings again here - got the hang of the Weber One Touch and am happy with the cooking method and the wings - sauced and crispy this time!

Ribs and wings look good! We did onion soup, chilli, pasta sauce, corn bread,and egged up a roast pork with taters and apples.

What Jeff said about growing it in the fall. Ideally you put it in the ground 2 weeks before the first real frost hits. In the Valley I believe that tends to be a little earlier than in Halifax. I didn't plant mine until into November 3rd last year. You'll want to do slightly raised beds for drainage and mulch heavily with straw (or hay, but apparently straw is preferred).

Sounds like Jeff's got you covered but if you'd like to try a few cloves of another variety or two I should have some to spare.

The resource I used for how to grow is here: https://www.garlicfarm.ca/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's also where I got most of my seed stock, although I suspect they're about sold out now.

Made up a Thanksgiving fattie with grass fed ground beef and venison tenderloin. Smoked her off on the big green egg. It was tasty!

Some gourmet shit going down in the RubberToe house. Sous Vide lamb shanks. To be accompanied by rack of lamb on Sunday.

Part two. 48 hour lamb shanks at 66 degrees. Seared with mapp torch but it didn't need much. Roasted baby potatoes and steamed asparagus which were both awesome. I did a Bordelaise sauce reduced from about 3 cups of wine, the same amount of lamb drippings, chicken stock, and a quart of vegetable broth. All that reduced to about a cup or so of "gravy". This shit is so good, I'm freezing the leftovers.

I cooked 6 shanks. Sous vide in brew rig is wicked.

I started cutting it up before I realised I forgot to snap a plate photo. Whoops.

Too bad my phone cam sucks, the pictures don't do it justice. The lamb was out of this world.

Paired with some homebrew Robust Porter, RIS, and some Unibroue Maudite.
