we do a big pig roast/turkey fry every summer...we put it on for family and friends in our community
It's a good way for everyone to get together during the busy summer...we had around 100 adults plus kids (so aprox 120)....we party until the cops come (4am this year)

I agree. That pig roast I posted a picture of, was our first club function ( Newfound Riders ). We had a field to ourselves just outside the city and the whole weekend we had motorcycle games, camping, beer tent and live bands playing... and of course the cops spent the weekend prowling through the trees taking pictures of us. Jeez, you would think they would have better things to do  Out of the 75 or so of us there, there were only 2 patch holders.

Skillet action on a smoked chop from HPsauce and Canning Meat Market. It was delicious!

One of the best pizzas I've made yet. A deep dish done in the cast iron in the kamado, top rack, on top of two fire bricks placed side by side.

I cut up some Pillers Hungarian smoked sausage, got it going in a small pot, then added some Classico olive & garlic pasta sauce plus some cut up green olives and let it stew a bit. Nice and saucy. I added it all to the crust in the pan, some smoked cheddar plus regular mozzarella, Greek peperoncini on top. It cooked at about 550 for 12.5 minutes and could have gone longer. Topped with oregano and parmesan.

Crust has been a moving target for me but the last two pizzas I've used a thin crust recipe that my Dad gave me; for a thin crust pizza and the deep dish. So, no.
