Depends what you're looking for. Its Loblaw's so a lot of the same stuff as SS, plus a bunch of other stuff. A lot of BIG cuts of beef, ungraded whole beef tenderloins cheap, frozen goat, 20 lb chunks of beef, pork loins, whole side ribs - 3 racks per pack..... yadda yadda....dexter wrote:Looks good! Does C&C have decent meat? Ive never been...

Foods are looking good. Off to the store tomorrow for something to put on the grill. I've been neglecting it too long.

¿Goat? What about lamb? I'd kill for a good roti! Only made it once and it was ok

Jeff - nice to see what you can fit on one grate inside the Classic! Looks great!jeffsmith wrote:Big cook today—four racks of baby backs and a dozen sausage on the Kamado and two chickens on the gas grill. Took Nash's advice and did 3 hours at 275° and the ribs were perfect. Tender, but not falling off the bone. Still had a bit of bite.

Fathers Day lunch with my boys. Got the young feller jammin the meat through the grinder, while the youngest watches from the floor. All local (Very Local) grassfed beef.
Burgers turned out nice and spicy. Supper will something of a gamble. I will post back later.

Re: The Official What's Cooking Thread [Food Porn]
So I was challenged with just making something from what we have in the house instead of going out to get something.
I used Potatoes, Asparagus, Onion, Peppers, and Shrooms mixed with my ground beef from this morning. Also steamed some Beet greens and Peas.
Not looking at the pack of bacon that was in the freezer until I opened it to make a weave with was disappointing. I struggled through with it.
It was a little dry, but tasty. Put some premade spicy Aioli on the plate for a little dipping to keep things from being to dry.
I had fun with my boys on Daddy day!
And When Momma Bear gets home from work

Fathers Day weekend ...
Started with AAA tenderloin with roasted vidalia onion, mushrooms and baked potato on Saturday night.\

A bit of a treat for lunch on Sunday - BBQ wings, they came out nice and crispy, cooked at around 350-400.

ABT's as the appetizer before supper

Supper was choice of pizza pies:
classic pepperoni and cheese

Three cheese

Roasted garlic with tomato and pepper goat cheese

Kicking it old school. When I grew up with a single mom.
Larsens individually wrapped boiled hot dogs with bread and no name ketchup and mustard.

Re: The Official What's Cooking Thread [Food Porn]
My dad worked at Larsens for 18yrs. I ate my fair share of wieners. Mostly odd length rejects though. They are still a staple in our house now.
As for CUT the burgers were good the beef aging made me drool.
And just so were clear. I fondled that pack of ribs and for $31 Nashster got himself a right good looking dealio.
I turned my veggy meat roll into poutine. Hand cut fries cooked on the Kamado. Smothered in heart stopping amounts of gravy.
aaaaHHH
