in the Passage
Hello All,
I've been reading on here for a while now, I guess it's time I should introduce myself. I'm about 2 years into the hobby and I'm definitely hooked! Currently working with a 5 gal e-BIAB that I put together about 18 months ago. I'm very happy with the setup, although I find myself constantly thinking/reading/dreaming about the next thing I want to build or change. There seems to be no end in sight! Got a few hops (Sterling and Willamette) growing in a few locations around the yard. This will be the second year, I can't believe the growth we're seeing so far. I try and brew every couple of weeks and most of it goes straight into my 2 tap kegerorator. (I've since learned that 2 is not enough!)
I'm looking forward to spending time around other brewers, I have so much to learn! I'd be interested in hosting a meeting night this summer.
Cheers,
Dustin

Re: in the Passage
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: in the Passage
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I spend a bit of time out at Hartlen, it's nice having a golf course around the corner, too easy to get 9 in after work...even if you do get blown away from time to time!

I think I enjoy building and tinkering with my gear more than I do actually brewing

Nice setup
Nova Prime Taproom
Tap 1: Festa Brew Scotch Ale
Tap 2:
"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

Re: in the Passage
The blue zigzag is my counterflow chiller. I've got it plumbed in underneath. I was having fun with my new chalk markers! I've got a bunch of pictures from the build. I'll put something up in the diy section soon.

Welcome aboard, and great looking gear! The brewery looks OK too.
