Hey there!
Hi, I just moved to Halifax from Vancouver this summer for no apparent reason and thought I would introduce myself.
I have brewed a little bit in the past and think I'm going to take it up again now that I have the space (loving this affordable rent) and the influence of homebrewing housemates.
Look forward to meeting some of you in the real world!

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Re: Hey there!
Welcome aboard!
You've just missed the September meeting, but we'll be getting together for Hoptoberfest on the 26th. A great way to meet many of us in person, and drink our beers! And no, bringing your own is not strictly required, we welcome food and snacks too. Or just an empty tummy and a willingness to try some great beer and talk beer.
You can find the details, and link to a signup sheet, here: http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewto ... f=5&t=8593" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Hey there!
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
