New member in the Valley
Hey gang!
I recently moved from Calgary back to NS. Good to be back! I was a member of the Yeastwranglers club in Calgary for a few years. Now I'm a turn cloak, joining the Brewnosers! I have been brewing all-grain for the past 4 years. I brew everything from IPAs to sour beer (usually on purpose) to 15% stouts to Belgian styles. I haven't brewed in a while because of the move and it's weighing on my conscience. I have a 50lb sack of Pilsner that I won at a competition, which has been left unopened since March. That makes me feel like a chump.
Anyway, hope to meet you all soon!

Welcome! We sent some Brewnosers out to spy on y'all in Calgary, so it's only fair they send one back.
So, whatcha wanna brew with that Pils? Straight up pilsener, or maybe a Weiss or ???

Thanks!
With the Pils... First plan of action is to make some different versions of Berliner Weisse. What else should I make?
Oh. I need a grain mill too! Haha

Re: New member in the Valley

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
