new member from the Avon Valley
Hi folks
If anyone is wondering where the Avon Valley is, it is the small valley that starts by Windsor and covers Falmouth and Martock out through rt14.
I just got back into brewing beer after a friend showed me Noble Grape. I brewed about 300 liters since Feb this year.
I haven't actually drank that much yet.
I spent a winter in the 80s brewing beer every week with friends while on unemloyment and then got away from it.
I started up again with Fiesta brews and it wasn't long before I bought a good pot and and started doing the brews from scratch.
I just ordered a regulator and CO2 tanks and have one brew in a keg just waiting.
Now I want to brew larger batches. My friend has a old keg with the top cut off so we want to try a 20 gal batch. It is quite addicting the more you get into it.
Anyways I am looking forward for to the help and advice that can be found on here.

Re: new member from the Avon Valley

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
